Greetings! My name is Dustin Pettit, and I’m a Colorado transplant from Indiana. Living in Colorado was a dream since the first time I visited a friend in Boulder when I was 20 years old. It took 7 years, but I finally found an avenue through my professional life to get out here and I’m never leaving!
I completed my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice & Criminology at Ball State University in Muncie, IN back in 2010. I have worked for a government contract since that fall in their training department. My company, BI Incorporated, provides Electronic Monitoring and Case Management services for government agencies that contract with us. I am currently the Senior Training Specialist in the Training Department. I am responsible for conducting all employee and customer training events as well as developing eLearning curriculum and webinars for our internal staff and customers.
I am a student in the Information & Learning Technologies graduate program through the CU Denver. I’m working towards a Master of Arts in Information & Learning Technologies, Option: eLearning through the School of Education & Human Development.
Now that you know a little bit about my professional and academic background, how about a little bit about me? I’m an “ing” person. Hiking, running, exploring, beer-ing (sounds better than drinking), reading, listening, creating, you get it, right? A lot of my focal themes in my academic endeavors here will focus on similar topics: Immigration & Case Management and Craft Beer in Colorado.
