Here is what AleSmith had to say about it: It’s Pretty Awesome. A San Diego classic, AleSmith IPA showcases the versatility of American hops. Aromas of grapefruit and tangerine lead into an abundance of fresh pine and tropical fruit notes followed by a crisp, resinous bitterness. The complex hop profile is supported by a firm malt presence to create an incredibly flavorful and well-balanced IPA.

Dustin’s Brewreview and Notes
Aroma: Intense pine notes with light amounts of grapefruit/orange; No noticeable malt on the nose; 9/12
Appearance: Straw colored and very transparent; no haze; white colored creamy head that lingers heavily; mine was about an inch thick in my glass and stayed as I continued to drink it; 3/3
Flavor: High levels of piney bitterness; dank hop flavor; clean malt taste; 14/20
Mouthfeel: chalky; dry; lingering bitterness; slightly astringent after taste; tasted slightly under-carbonated under the the creamy head sitting on top; 2/5
Overall: I like the nose and aroma as I am a big fan of piney/dank smelling hops. It’s definitely dry and true to the West Coast IPA style, but the lingering aftertaste does not suit my bill; 6/10
Dustin gives AleSmith IPA, a 34/50.
