Here is what 4 Noses had to say: Collaboration between 4 Noses, Ritual Chocolate and Two Rivers Coffee. The first impression of this beer starts with a beautiful aroma of Ethiopian Coffee Beans. The mahogany color can be misleading on how light and crisp this beer actually is. The coffee is present on the initial sip of the beer, but the flavor profiles are rounded out by a smooth cocoa flavor from the local cocoa nibs. The porter itself is brewed with roasted malts that work in perfect harmony with the nibs and beans.

Dustin’s Brewreview and Notes
Aroma: Rich cocoa powder and medium robust coffee aroma; slight breadiness on the nose as well; no noticeable hop aroma; 9/12
Appearance: Deep brown color with cream colored head; foamy head with good retention; 3/3
Flavor: graham cracker, toffee and chocolate notes throughout; low hop bitterness up front that does not linger; medium-high maltiness that finishes sweet; 13/20
Mouthfeel: Chewy with slightly effervescent carbonation; slight warmth and light astringency; mouth-coating creaminess that sticks around; 3/5
Overall: I love the nose of this beer. It’s great on a windy or cool day (I say that as I just got back inside), but the flavor leaves a little on the table – I was expecting more coffee taste and did not get any at all. The cocoa/chocolate was the dominate feature of the this beer which overpowered the malt backbone I was looking forward to.
Dustin gives 4 Noses Brewing Co’s Ritual Rivers Cocoa Coffee Porter, a 39/50.
Other note – I think this would be great on nitro as it was very smooth and creamy out of a can.
