First post about a Colorado Brewery! I figured I would kick it off with the Brewery in closest proximity to my residence, where I spend way too much time: Avery Brewing Company.

My first trip to Avery’s new facility was at their grand opening on 2/16/15. It was snowy and cold. They opened at 3pm, I was there are 215p standing in the snow.
The new facility is extremely impressive. There are always 30 beers on tap. The staples, Joe’s Pilsner, Avery IPA, White Rascal, Ellie’s Brown & Liliko’i Kepolo are always there. The other 25, well change all the time. At the time of the grand opening, here was the tap list.
Sorry for the big pics, but the details are important.
I sat there on this government holiday for about 4 hours until my wife got off work and came to join the fun. I did nothing but drink 4-5oz pours and made it through 14 on the menu. Since that day, my wife and I frequent Avery Brewing weekly. It’s our go to spot – especially in the summer for night cap beers on the patio as the sun sets.
Avery does an amazing job bringing a diverse set of beers to customers. They specialize in big beers – they dare to go further with their beers than any other brewery I know regarding ABV and experiments with beers bitting almost 18%ABV.
My favorite Avery beers: Avery IPA, Maharaja, Czar, Reverend, Ratman 10,000, Rasberry Sour, Rumpkin and Tweak. I feel like I even cut that list short!
I could post an infinite amount of photos from my experiences here, but I’ll spare you all. I highly suggest that if you’re a fan of beer, that you make the trip to Gunbarrel and visit Avery. You won’t be disappointed.
